“Ode to static lives” explores the paradox and irony of life happening in front of not living objects.
In the satiric video performance a big, multimedia painting comes to life through a human visitor playing the piano, holding painting’s book of musical notes and finally revealing its view on life - “Das Leben ist so abwechslungsreich”.
In most of my works materiality and concept development are tightly connected; for this piece, I consciously used recycled materials such as textile, cardboard, chocolate wrappers to give them life again and to make it more
abwechslungsreich.
